Ive actually had a pretty good last couple of weeks. Last week I went to see Duff from GunsNRoses new band Loaded play at the grand opening of some club in hollywood. After Loaded finishes playing their set, which was good, Duff says hes gonna bring out a few of his friends and they are going to screw around a bit. So who do I see but Slash and Matt Sorum come on stage. They played AC/DC and GNR songs for about 20 minutes. F.N. cool. GunsNRoses was the first concert that I ever went to growing up, so it was awesome to see them up close in a little club, even without axl.
Then on Saturday I went to see softcore play. I liked them, kind of sounded like Garbage but with a little harder edge. I went to see them play again on Wednesday at the Dragonfly. It ended up that they werent going to be playing that night, but I did happen to meet up with EricAllen from the boards and a couple of his friends outside the club. It ended up turning into a real fun night.
I worked on the fourth of July, it was kind of nice having the office all to myself. People seemed kind of surprised that Id choose to work that day, but my thinking was:
1. I needed to take a day off to go to the warped tour next week and I didnt want to use vacation time
2. I didnt really have anything better to do and I didnt really want to fight the traffic and crowds were there was stuff to do
3. Im not American so I dont really give a rats ass about the fourth of July. (I dont mean that in an anti-american way, it just that it means nothing to me not being American)
Well I guess those are the highlights in the land of me for the last couple of weeks. Other than working, sleeping, eating, pissing, shitting, watching tv, reading and spending way too much time on the computer, I havent been up to much else.
P.S. I went to an asian supermarket last week, and if anyone was wondering beef penis costs $2.89/lb.
