I've been in the hospital, sick with pneumonia. I was finally released late last night. Yea!

I am noticing that my fingernails grew quite a bit while I was admitted. I guess it is time for a manicure. Yes, I am a guy and I get manicures. To be honest, this is left over from the influence of an old girlfriend. She hated the fact that I chewed my nails and once said to me, "Do you see any of the executives at your company chomping on their nails? No, you don't. In fact, I bet if you look closely enough, you will see that most of them get manicures."

I have to admit that she was right. However, quit the nail-biting was as hard as giving up cigarettes. It is especially hard when I am watching a University of Georgia football game and things are tight. Now that I think about it, this is probably all learned behavior anyway. My Dad chews his nails, especially during sporting events.

The girl and I recently visited Chicago. I'll post a few pics from our trip when I get the chance. She and her sister just returned from a trip to Boston. They had a blast. Unfortunately, a big storm hit Houston about an hour before they were supposed to land. Their flight was diverted to Baton Rouge and they didn't get into Houston until almost 8pm, about 3.5 hours late. I had to make two trips to the airport (I was already there to pick them up when their flight was diverted) but it was worth it. It is nice to have her home. The dogs agree.
