it finally rained today. this is good. now the plants will be fat and happy, the asphalt will glisten, and tires will make that wet crackling sound as they spin past. portland needed rain. our yard was dead and it was starting to smell dusty. water makes ecosystems complex. you can see the biomass breathing: steam rises from grates.

you should totally come visit! one of the things i'm really excited about is that i will finally get to show off sweden to my friends. i've talked about it incessantly for a year now, and finally i will get to say, "come visit me and see what i love about it so much."
