- It's strange to have been listening to the international news for years, hearing about Gaza and this conflict my whole life and I still have no opinion whatsoever. It wrenches me to see screaming faces yanked from their homes and to hear about Palestinian death toll. Maybe two strong opinions cancel eachother out? Can one person have two?

- I'm beginning to fall in love with Portland again. For about a year now I was despising itthe familiar faces, bypassing touring bands, the cheesey quaint quiet of public, easy living. One thing I know I love is music and seeing the great size of other cities and the miniscule quality artists they produce compared to our fair town, it makes me smirk with underground patriotism. Rather underground is overground here and that's just fine with me.

- It's odd working at home but I see that when you are working, you don't care that you are alone. Diet Rite is at my side at all times.

- Last night I called Southwest and acted like I was an older lady and that somebody at the airline had lost my vibrator from my bag. I thought it was cute but they began to sound like they thought it was a potential lawsuit so I backed off.
