I am so spent. Spent from all the work, hope, community building that went into this last election. I'm flabbergasted, words can't even describe the "what the fuck happened?" scenerios that are running through my head. That the poor have elected the rich and surely signed the demise of their own country, which is not an exaggeration (Kerry may have postponed this). Although I can't even begin to feel comforted or that a solution has been met, I have come to these conclusions:

1. The democratic party is over. It no longer serves it's purposed and is being absaloutley RAILED. Those of us that did put our confidence in it, did it half heartedly so. It has forgotten it's roots, it's passion, and the people it intended to serve as we have forgotten it. Putting anymore compromised hope in it is dangerous and will elongate the hideousness of these past years.

2. We need a leader. Somebody that does not depend on comedy or satyr, but calls for action and complete organization. I think this will happen very very soon.

3. None of this could have happened without Fox networks and the jingoism which controls the media. This is the FIRST thing that MUST be dismantled before anything can be accomplished.

4. Blaming religion will get us NOWHERE. God is an elusive thing that can be used to many ends and in this case has been used by the elite to concern people with issues that are less immediate such as abortion and gay marriage.
