I honestly can't remember ever having been this tired before in my entire life. Everything hurts all over and i am sunburnt.

I have walked at least 150 miles today, through woods, along trails, in mud, on gravel, in grass, everywhere.

I have all this to be thankful for and much more to the Boy Scouts of America.

I hate the Boy Scouts.

Those people are fucking weird in so many ways. It is fundamentally a Christian oriented orginization but their is a very strong American Indian influence that at such events as the one we had earlier tonight makes them seem very paganistic and even cult like in nature.

And it being here in the south there is of course the redneck slant on things. There was a quote from Gen. Robert E Lee inscribed on the back of an award given to one of the packs tonight.

These people scare me sometimes but i bite my tounge because i love my son and my daughter and my wife. I love them a lot. I have to or else i might hurt some of these Norman Rockwell rejects.

Ugh, i'm all suburban and shit.

Me too!!! Suburbia rocks!!! Camping is fun now and then, but I just don't like hiking. If I want a workout I'll go to the freakin gym.

It sounds like you had a fun day with theBoy Scouts. You sound like a great father. I remember my dad building those little wooden cars (match box derby) with my brother and helping me learn how to whittle with my pocket knife when I was a girl scout. Ihe things you are doing now for your kids will never be forgotten and you will still be appreciated when your kids are in their thirties. kiss
