I was talikin' to dravenraine earlier today on her thread about our occupations and it got me to thinking about my career as a pro wrestler.

So, i thought i might babble about it for a bit here in my journal so those of you who read this drivel will have an idea what it is i like to do and maybe give some of you a little insight into the world of pro wrestling or as we insiders call it, the "buisness".

I have been in the buisness now for 3 years and was trained by my best friend Stephen Martin/"Lord Frost" and his trainer Chris Champion. Champion was trained by Dean Malenko so in terms of the buisness i'm sort of like Malenkos great grandson, a fact that i'm extremely proud of.

I began my in-ring career as a referee and not to sound to conceited but i'm a damn good one. I believe that every particapant of a match is equally important to the overall quality of a match. If you don't beleive me or just don't understand go watch and pay attention to Earl Hebner the WWEs head ref and you'll see what i mean.

I am currently involved in a storyline where i am playing the manager for my two best friends, Stephen/Frost and my buddie Jamie Graham who goes by the "gimmick", or character name, "Adam Strange. My gimmick name as manager is "Mr. Joshua Sabbath" and we are all "Heels", or the bad guys/villians.

I have never technically had a full fledged match of my own and i didn't until recently like calling myself a wrestler but Stephen informed me that i had every right to do so since i do more work in the ring than a lot of the guys we work with that have been in the buisness for 15 years do. So, needless to say, i said okay and felt great about it. Still though, i mostly call myself a "worker" like the rest of the boys in the back do. "Worker" is the blanket term for anyone in the buisness.

The plan right now is for us to build a "stable", or group of like minded people (evil bastards) around my character and at some point down the road i will move from my position as manager to one of full time wrestler as the tag team partner of Stephens.

When i do start wrestling my gimmick is going to change by my design and i will be known as "Golgotha", imagine the Marvel Comics character "The Red Skull" with devil horns and wearing bondage gear and thats the look i'll be shooting for. That's assuming the "booker" or person in charge of story ideas and making matches allows me to do so, but he should, he digs our stuff.

It'll never make me rich and i'll never be famous but thats not why we do it. We do it because we love it, because we have to. It's in our blood. I will never be able to turn pro on an international basis for a lot of reasons such as, i don't have the look and i won't do the 'roids to get it, i won't sacrifice my family, and i won't fuck my ethics to work for certain scum that control Nashville.

They say, within the buisness, that wrestlers never truly retire. Most of us die in the ring. Now that i've seen it for myself i think "they" are right on at least this one occasion.

Oh well, maybe i'll find the fame and fourtain i seek in comic books but probabaly not.

Many thanks to those who wished me well while i was sick, especially sweet
sakita.

I always wanted to try my hand at wrestling but I have neither the time nor the money. Also I'm in far too poor physical shape for it.
