is their a difference between being suicidal and just wanting to die? or to put it another way, is their a difference between being suicidal and not caring if you live or die?

this doesnt really apply to me, but thats a question i asked my self the other night. is their a difference? if you dont care weither you live or die, wouldnt that make you semi-suicidal because you wont do whats nessesary to live everytime your faced with a life or death situation......right?

and i dont think so, it hink thats not semi suicidal. suicidal means you want/are goign to end your life. that nonsense about not caring is bs, because you are still alive

i think that not caring is one thing, but actually being suicidal could mean that you have thoughts about actually killing yourself or that you actually try to. but not caring is different, you aren't actually thinking of doing it, just that if it happens, you won't try to stop it.

hmmmm, the mind boggles.
