Last night was odd... I was adding ram to my bosses computer, turned the power back on... and it sparked. One of the contacts on the ram stick melted off. That motherboard is now DOA, it's upset that it can't find anything in dimm slot 1. Oh well, it was only a celeron board from like 4 years ago. Er, the bad part was that it's my bosses computer, but I had a spare comp all ready to roll, just had to swap hard drives. Disaster averted.

Today, the grading system at the high school was fucking up, causing panic among the faculty. I guess grades had to be out by the end of today or something like that... slackers, I should have said "That's what you get for waiting!!!" But I didn't. Ah well, a simple compact/rebuild of the database and it's running fine.

Still trying to figure out the exact travel arrangements for prom. I might just settle on driving down, bringing Whore and her boy along, perhaps picking up Thursday on the way down? I love my explorer.

OH! And does anyone from Portland that's already going know where they are staying? I took a quick peek, the Embassy Suites near SFO look decent, and the price isn't too bad... $130 per night or so. Goddamn, some of those hotels are like $400+ per night; they had better be swanky, or I'd laugh my ass off at anyone staying there.
