I'm always a driver.
The only time I was really able to let go, was a year ago after I pretty much totalled my car. I was without a vehicle for 3 weeks...so my friends would pick me up and take me out, and someone else would play driver. It was fun...I could drink and not have to worry.
This isn't to say I hate helping my friends get home...it's nice being the one to be sure the people I care the most about get home ok. But come on...when do I get to relax?
Perhaps New Years Eve...I've rented a room downtown...no vehicle worries, my friends are right there with me. It will be good.
