Wow, ok, so...
At work, this company that we deal with had a bunch of checks stolen... so one of our bank account numbers was stolen off a check. So, we get a new account, new checks to print, etc... and we opted for laser-print checks, before it was just tractor-feed dot matrix bullshit. Anyway, that's all fine and dandy, except the cheap/efficient/cost-effective laser printer is the HP LaserJet 1000, which happens to be USB-only and you can basically only print from Windows. Well, I can fool it to print from DOS mode... and this is important because the god damned accounting program we're using is DOS based... it's from the 80's. I hate the fucking thing. Well, I set the printer up as a network printer, share it, connect and map it as LPT3: on the local computer used to print checks... and I can print from Windows just fine. But trying to print to LPT3: from a DOS box just ain't happening. And I swear I had it working on this printer a couple weeks ago.
I hate HP for making their cheapest and my favorite printer windows only!! Those fuckers!!! For $150 I'll spend time getting it to work, but god damn, throw me a friggin' bone here!
In other news, I look pretty sharp in khaki's and shit. I guess. I used to wear them for my other 2 job's (mall and art museum), so it's not too big of a deal to me. It does bug me when I have to crawl under a desk or something, though (to fix a COMPUTER, you sick bastards! get your minds out of the gutter!). I should be wearing jeans for that.

Things I dislike: compatibility issues, web browser bugs, people who use old software and refuse to get up to date when it causes problems, dress codes, credit cards, tuition hikes, your mom, and girls I have crushes on.
Things I like: working. And back when I used to drink, I liked that. Oooohhhhh, and my suv, I really like my baby. My home computer, too *pats it*. Some of you guys are pretty cool, too, good job.
I want a new crush on a new person so I can dislike them. Any suggestions?
