Yet another dream...
This one was a SARS-ish dream set in a middle-eastern hospital. I was there with my family, wandering around. We were trying to leave, and they had security checkpoints everywhere, it was pretty spiffy. Automated security gates, 15 minute interval ID checks at them all. They were only checking the ID's of "adults", even though one kid wanted his ID checked for some reason. A couple of those, and then I made it to this huge elevator. Bigger than a living room, lots of glass around it. I was polite, pushed the buttons for people. There were only 6 floors. I wasn't quite sure where I was going at this point... my family was already at the front door getting the car. So down we go, to the main floor.
When we arrive, it reminds me of a shopping mall, and it's fucking huge! Escalators everywhere, tons of people.. yet still a hospital. I start walking towards an exit sign, but I realize I'm not quite sure which exit to take. I walk past a man wearing a hat that looks exactly like my dad, and he smiles at me; but it's not him. A few more corridors down, I find them, and we start to walk outside. I'm behind them, and right as my foot crosses the threshold, my view switches to an entrance I had passed. Someone sneezes, and the germs fly through the doorway, and smack someone in the face. Sirens, alarms, automated doors and gates slam shut. Scary shit.
Oh well, we're already outside though. My brother in law gets in the driver seat, we all pile in, and we drive to... another car. And he's driving pretty crazy too, offroad style. We load up in another car, then head to a warehouse. At this warehouse, I'm not sure what happens, but it looks like a war-prepartion warehouse. I end up losing my family somewhere, and find... the secretary at work. What the christ, so weird! So we try to find our way out, go through some security checkpoints (somehow), and finally get to the exit.. only not.
We walk towards a fake exit... and suddenly I recognize this place. I've had a nightmare here before. It's a false storefront, the large man inside is nice at first, then starts screaming and won't stop. I quickly spin around to leave, and he comes out to follow, but I start closing doors in front of him. I break out into a run, and suddenly I'm on an airfield, with explosions, barrels of chemicals and toxic waste are exploding! I put my shirt over my mouth, and sprint around things. There are men wearing biohazard suits digging things up, and talking on radio's, but I leave them all behind.
I arrive at a train station, and take the engineer's spot; start driving it. It's not quite a normal train, though. The tracks are all busted up, so at some points you go on a sidewalk, and sometimes you go on rooftops! I almost blew the damn thing up, too, dropped it off the wrong way, but we got it back on track...
The train had broken apart, but we (?) reconnected it, and I drove it through a barbed-wire fence...
Awake.
