38 Days til the kick off of the 2005 NASCAR Season

MUCH HAPPINESS!!!! Did I mention I can't wait!?!?

Got some scary news this week...my gram fell and broke her hip. In true family fashion, we had taken over the huge waiting room with people that love her. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to head down, but I did talk to her quite a bit. She...

When you look at someone, what is the first thing you see? Do you see their flaws or do you see their unique and interesting characteristics? When I look at someone, I do take note of their physical appearance. I will think to myself, wow, they are tall, or look how long her hair is...something along those lines. I don't remember EVER looking at someone...

I question the validity of many responses that do not have the word "rack" in them. Just getting that right on the table. You laugh . . . but only because it is true.

Well, the body is definitely becoming more acclimated to surviving on less sleep, however, the emotional side of things is another story. This is the point where you feel really envious for those who get to deal with me on a daily basis. biggrin

Stace arrives tonight...I can't wait to see her. My little Gotti definitely makes me happy, and going three weeks without seeing her,...

~*~*~ YAWN ~*~*~

Good GOD am I tired. I am literally having to remind myself to reopen my eyes after a blink. I don't seem to care as much with the phone against my ear at 12:30 in the morning as much as I do being slapped awake by that fucking alarm at 4 a.m. Maybe I can just think of better ways to be...

~*~ HAPPY NEW YEAR! ~*~

2005...has anyone else JUST gotten used to writing 2004 like me? How can another year have passed already. I said this very thing to one of my co-workers and he said, "well, you know...that's a sign you're getting old, when the years start running together." Yeah...thanks, fucker! wink When I look back on this past year though, there has been such...

Alaska was mainly a work trip, we were testing some new technologies in cold weather. I did get a chance to meet up with some old friends now.

I'm in Utah now... I've been racking up frequent flyer miles, as you can imagine.

Hugs and Kisses and hopes that you all had a WONDERFUL holiday!

The long three-day weekend was just what I needed and I couldn't have written a better holiday story this year. Perspective is a wonderful thing, let me tell ya. wink

Ended up spending the weekend smothered in my family, I wouldn't have had it any other way. Well, no, I take that back...I would...

Always remember...the true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart...

There is magic in this holiday, I have no doubt about that. No matter what your beliefs are, it's hard to deny the energy that surrounds this day. To me, Christmas is a reminder of something bigger than myself. An overwhelming power that can bring out the very best in people.

I'm biding you all...

The lights are turned way down low...let it snow...let it snow...let it snow...

And snow it did...but it didn't seem to effect the weekend's festivities, which is a good thing. However, with the word "blizzard" in our forecast at the end of the week, it's time to start planning ahead, I suppose. Something I'm not good at doing.

It was the "Alternative Family Christmas" on...

Oh, I'm just fucking peachy ARRR!!!
tangledupinblue:
we got snow here too, and the temp went down near ten today -- first real winter day.

Not a big fan. I am tired and sore. I got back from DC yesterday, then in a fit of bad judgment went out for the Volts Ravens game to see my friend who just came back from Egypt. He brought me a cobra skin wallet. I knew between the train rides, the alkeehawl and the night out that my back would be bad today but I really can hardly walk. I have underwater physio tomorrow, and that helps.

So I am tired, played out, an empty vessl from an emotional weekend, but I feel good and ready and locked and loaded.

That's about it.

Chocolate and Roses....that's what is permeating my living room right now. NOTHING wrong with that...I'm very spoiled. wink

Last night, after work...I went on a mini-tour of the festive lights in the neighborhood. If you haven't done this, do it! It's very fulfilling to find the local "Clark Griswald" house and marvel at the twinkly...

Three parties I guess. None of which I'm terribly excited about. It's soooooooo good to be home.

BTW, you have every reason to be spoiled, enjoy it.

Things are good here but I am working a lot....that is good and bad.

Lots of Holiday stuff going on but I am currently to tipsy to recall them all...

I still have all of my shopping left to do....why do I do this to myself?

I tossed, I turned...I tossed, I turned...I called my Gram.

Last night, the thoughts racing through my head wouldn't stop long enough for me to sneak in a couple hours of sleep. The questions. The answerless questions haunt.

"What bullshit!! Get over it already!!"
it's what I want to scream at myself

There are two aspects of my life that I don't talk to my...
