"I'm Still Here"
I found the pieces in my hand
They were always there
It just took some time to understand
You gave me words I just can't say
So if nothing else
I'll hold on while you drift away
Cause everything you wanted me to hide
Is everything that makes me feel alive
Cities grow
Rivers flow
Where you are, I'll never know
But...

4-day weekends are kewl....

acidevangelist:
Have a good weekend, my dear.

Last night, in my attempt to relax, I slipped into a warm bath...bubbles, candles...I take my baths very very seriously.
It did the trick too. My muscles had released their hold on my body and my mind had released it's hold on the day. I was standing on my plushy bathroom rug, drying my hair...and...

Have a great weekend and a happy 4th
This morning, my phone rang at 12:05...I didn't bother turning on the light to see the caller ID, I just answered. It was my cousin Bridgitte, and my act of answering the phone prompted her into a medley of birthday songs...to herself. Seriously, this went on for like a few minutes....and just when I thought she was done, she would start back up...I ended up...

Last night I had the strangest dream...
I was at work (side-bar...I told my boss I was dreaming about work, and he said, I might be needing a vacation. I think I agree)...anyway, at work...sitting in the studio. It's like mission control in there. Four computers surround me and a board, phones, CD players...tons of CD's and a TV. Well, the TV is USUALLY set...

Have you ever seen the show, Everybody Loves Raymond? There is a guy on that show who is friends with Frank Barone (the father), and he's a big fan of Ray's. Every time the older man sees Ray he says...while waving his fists in the air..."AHHH HAHHHH...RAY'S HERE!!!" Everytime it happens, it makes me giggle.
Well, this morning, walking out of my apartment...

So that "15 minutes of fame" adage really does apply. Move over Paris Hilton.

All was well...going about my day. Found many, many happy aspects to smile about.
Came home...and there was a knock at the door. It was the postlady, bringing me a package. A gift? I didn't remember ordering anything. She had said they tried to deliver it a week ago Saturday, but no one was home. I wasn't home...I was headed to Seattle.

Your encouragement does help!
Just keep feeling---however and whatever it is that you are feeling... just don't feel like you have to be "ok" before you are ready.
Tell people if you have to or make a blanket statement that you do not want to be asked: Are you ok?
Feeling better?
I worked in an office in FL and a co-worker lost her father. She only missed one day of work. Before she came back she asked her closest friend there to tell everyone NOT to ask her anything, to treat her as they usually did, and she would deal with having to be there better.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! call me in the AM when you get off the air...
A warm breeze through wet hair. Rolling down the window on my way into work this morning brought a smile to my face. I had forgotten what a sensational feeling it is to feel the wind. Somehow the contrast between the wet curls and the warm air sent shivers down my body. I felt very alive...
Yesterday, I found myself internally dancing with the monster...

I love that you are as back to you as anyone could be.
It makes me feel so much better about living and what we all can do.
You should read the comment about Gordon in my journal from a really cool girl who knows no NASCAR reading gayness into the Rainbow Warrior paint scheme -- wonder what she thinks of the flames.
LMAO.
Poor jeffykins
If he is gay, how can I get him my number
Seriously though, I love the idea that a gay driver int hat sport would out himself via paint scheme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah just what you want to do at Talladega, right???????????

No need to thank me, pretty lady ... I am awfully protective of my friends, and I most assuredly count you among them. However, you are very welcome nonetheless.
Trip was okay. Now to start the journal (one thing at a time).
Um, couches have a g-spot? I should probably go apologize to my couch...

The alarm sounds...and for three seconds, I don't remember. Three seconds is what it takes to circulate enough blood to the memory glands...three seconds of never getting that phone call...three seconds of plans that are still in place turning a mediocre life into a reason to wake up in the morning, three seconds...
By the fourth, my memory awakes.
My days are filled with functioning....

Even though we are newly-friended, I would like to offer my listening ear (reading eye) as well.
And I thought about you this weekend. On my trip, I saw a sign for Josephine, TX. Wasn't quick enough for a pic...

It's been a reflective afternoon. I finished reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven this weekend. The overall message really got to me, and forced me into some serious insight...
"...fairness does not govern life and death...if it did, no good person would ever die young."
This is a pretty powerful statement for me. We've all...

I am so very sorry to hear about Stacie. I can't imagine the sorrow you must be feeling. I wish there was something more I could do or say.

Oh honey, I am sorry for what happened. supernovice just told me the loss you have suffered. Again, I am so sorry, and I wish you the utmost peace.
Boy, it took me some time to get into it, but once I finally let the movie absorb me, it was riveting. Traveling into me and opening up in the most unpredictable way.
Sideways
