Last night, in my attempt to relax, I slipped into a warm bath...bubbles, candles...I take my baths very very seriously. 
It did the trick too. My muscles had released their hold on my body and my mind had released it's hold on the day. I was standing on my plushy bathroom rug, drying my hair...and...
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!!!
Someone was not just KNOCKING at my door...they appeared to be trying to beat it down. I was stunned for a moment as to what to do. I wrapped the towel around my body and with my hair dripping, went into the living room to look out the peep hole. Outside my door were two police officers, I immediately panic (too much Law and Order), thinking some rapist is loose in the building or there's a serial murderer hiding in my hallway. I reach for the door...
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!!!
I open the door, trying to conceal most of my towel covered-ness behind the door.
"Excuse me, Ma'am...do you know who's been setting off fireworks outside here?"
LOL...really? REALLY???
It was a friendly chat, with a new rookie and an old familiar face. I had seen "Officer Tom" several times before, we were old friends.
In this town, 4th of July is celebrated from the middle of June until the end of July (or when everyone runs out of fireworks, whichever comes first). And, I guess the noise was making one of my neighbor's dog, pee on the floor. Interestingly...he called the police, the police are going to call the landlord (because of the east side access doors being locked), and the lease stipulates no dogs, no exceptions. Some people are the SMARTEST! So, I think my neighbor just bought himself an eviction. I'm thinking a roll of Bounty would have been cheaper.

i'm sorry i didn't call you last night, blame it on Remyx, the slacker didn't get to Vinos until 10 and I didn't want to take the chance of waking you.
did you go into work at usual time today or early? did you tell "you know who" to shove it up his ass? ohhh maybe you should do it one the air....ummm, maybe that would get youfired, bad idea...
