What a great way to wake up...to the voice of My Boy telling me he's not only graduated from his academy, but he did it with academic excellence. Seems as though THEY finally know what I have known all along, I gots me a smarty. I'm just so proud of him...Congrats, baby.

Last night, stuck 4000 miles away from where I wanted to be, I found likeness in the company of a friend who was also pining over distance. Steve has taken quite a likeness to Stace, and the two are emitting that sappy-thick syrup of love lately that oozes from here to Seattle. It's fascinating to watch it unfold. So, Steve and I...gathered with a couple of our closest friends Bud and Budlight, went out to a local bar for karaoke. Yes, think I'm a geek, I don't care, but I love to sing. Great conversation, great company, and the great release that singing gives to me, it was a success that I'm paying for today. Nothing like an early morning after a late night to remind you of just how old you are.
