The rain came. Metaphorically knocking on my windows with aggression and stamina. I laid within the pillowly soft blankets, listening to the rhythm lull me into sleep. My body relaxed. My subconscious began to take flight as the crack of thunder ripped me back.
I danced with the storm for much of the night.
Have you ever heard something you wanted to share with someone you love, and you pick up the phone to dial their phone number only to remember they died years ago?
In order for something to begin, something else has to end. An idea that rings true again and again.
Yesterday, in a breezy 75 degree spring-like day, I went on a walk to the park. Saw some kids skipping school. Remembered back to high school...skipping class, and never being stupid enough to sit out in the park waiting for someone to come along asking me why I'm not in school. That's a small town for ya. I wonder if they got caught? I wonder if that's half the fun of ditching school, the danger of being caught.
Stace is headed into town this weekend...interesting phone conversation with her yesterday.
First time for everything, I suppose.
Is it weird I have taken to calling my friends, in a VERY endearing way, mind you, the Monkey Puppets?
