When you look at someone, what is the first thing you see? Do you see their flaws or do you see their unique and interesting characteristics? When I look at someone, I do take note of their physical appearance. I will think to myself, wow, they are tall, or look how long her hair is...something along those lines. I don't remember EVER looking at someone and thinking...wow, they are "disgusting."

Our physical appearances change with time and environment, and honestly, it's easy to impress someone with conventional beauty. However, if you can impress me with the beauty that sets you aside from everyone else, well, then you've captured my attention.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not so naive to think that physical attraction isn't important, and inside my head, I have a "physical type" I search out, however at the same time, it's someone's heart and personality that shines brightest. I don't think I'm alone in this thinking process, and honestly, it's one of the parts of myself that I'm most happy with and unwilling to compromise.
