Hugs and Kisses and hopes that you all had a WONDERFUL holiday!

The long three-day weekend was just what I needed and I couldn't have written a better holiday story this year. Perspective is a wonderful thing, let me tell ya.

Ended up spending the weekend smothered in my family, I wouldn't have had it any other way. Well, no, I take that back...I would have added one element...but... yeah...

Christmas Eve was spent at my Gram's then we packed her up and brought her over to my mom's for the night. Then after midnight mass that night, my two cousins came and stayed the night. All of the people who matter the most to me under one roof, it was to the emotional point of overwhelming...or maybe I'm just a big ole sap about this kinda shit...who knows.

Christmas morning, I was up first, and graciously let everyone sleep in until 7:45, when I just couldn't stand it anymore. I don't understand people wanting to sleep in when there are good times to be had and gifts to be unwrapped. I love watching someone's face when they open the perfect gift, that sheer expression of shock and awe...it's beautiful.

Among many treasures, Santa brought me a vacuum...I'm beside myself, and can't quit driving it around my living room and a Lexus that isn't quit big enough to drive...Yeah, don't ask.
