HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
The party has already started. The call came about 2 minutes ago..."ditch work, and come play," cousin Sam's voice sang over the phone. Of course, I can't. Somewhere along the line, responsibility became a permanent part of my thought process. I CURSE YOU, RESPONSIBILITY!
So, at 10 a.m. Saturday, the weekend will officially begin. GingerGayle and I are headed south about an hour to the city that contains all of my family. Stopping off to visit my Gram...(a drive by hugging, if you will), then off to Cousin Sam's. A Halloween spin on an always crazy night, should leave NOTHING to be desired. I say that with the upmost confidence. And I'm not ashamed to show a little weakness and admit that I need my family right now, it's been a rough week, it seems, all around.
Bon-fire, dancing, drinking, Stacey, drinking and drinking, all in costumes can't seem to go wrong there. I love that my desire to dress up, is not only supported by a holiday, but by a tremendous support system. Sorry, not meaning to gush, but I'm all about migrating to the love today.
HALLOWEEN is EASILY my favorite holiday, mostly due to the fact that a few years past, three of us had thrown the be-all-end-all of kick-ass Halloween parties. Put a standard of excellence for my expectation for this time of year. That is my FAVORITE Halloween memory...What is YOUR favorite Halloween Memory?
