I love kissing... but who doesn't, right?
Kissing, to me, is one of the most powerful forms of communication between two people. From as long as I can remember, my parents always instilled in me that you kiss goodbye before you leave. A kiss and an "I love you..." before you walk out the door. Even at 16, with my friends standing there waiting for me, I wouldn't think twice about doing this. It was just the way our family was, and because of that, I never questioned my unwavering love from my dad. A quality that age has brought appreciation for.
Then as I got older, I found a whole new appreciation for this intimate act. My first kiss with a boy, was in 5th grade, and his name was Jeremy. I kissed him in the morning recess, and by afternoon, he had dumped me for a girl named Barbie. (Is it strange that I remember names?). My first REAL kiss with a boy was my freshman year of high school, with a boy named Tim. It was a game of truth or dare, and I remember he tasted like chocolate chip cookies... (
catiedid). There were a few in high school, then beginning college, there were a few more...My first kiss with a girl was when I was 20, or almost 20. Her name is Stacey. (She'll be visiting next week
). And the first kiss that literally made my toes curl and set a new standard for my appreciation for men was a man named Dave.
Time passed, kisses came and went. Some memorable for being good, some for being really really bad. But nothing has deterred my love for kissing. There's an erotic connection of affection and restraint that can be leveled to an art form if done correctly. The tenderness of a kiss, and the animalistic instinct of a kiss, there's a place of love for all of them inside of me. The man that gently cradles your face in his strong hands as he kisses you...the woman who intertwines her fingers together and rests her hands in the small of your back as you kiss...*sigh* It's all good...
If I had to pick a favorite, or a best kiss...I couldn't, and I consider that to be a great problem to have. So, let me ask you, when was your best kiss?
