MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS---31
MINNESOTA VIKINGS---28

EXHAUSTED! Last night was a wonderful distraction, but this late night football and having to get up at 3:30 the next morning is a bunch of bullshit. biggrin No, I'm not really complaining, I love the competition, it's very soothing, strangely enough. I felt urged to call the one Viking fan I know to gloat, but opted against it,...

HAPPY WEEKEND TO YOU!

It's been a while since I have done one of these self gratifying lists about myself. So, here you go...careful where you step, my ego is showing:

I love football--high school, college, pro, and sunday afternoon in my gram's yard.
My heartbeat quickens when I hear "flanked at the guard"
I love my job
I feel challenged every day in the...

Come away with me in the night
Come away with me and I will write you a song

Lost in music today, from Tiny Dancer, to Come Away With Me, to My Prerogative, to Screaming Infidelities...it's a musical kinda day. The clouds remain.

I want to walk with you on a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows knee high, so won't you...

Not much. Just be glad when this week is over and I can get back to a normal routine again. I've spent SOO much time away from the gym. It's killin me. That and sleep would be nice. Life in the fast lane though. I want a pic of you. Can't see your face in any of them!

WHAT A KICK-ASS WEEKEND!!!

I have easily said this dozens of times, but I think, so far, this past weekend was the best ever. Call it a perfect combination of Tequila and Te-chicas, or call it great timing, either way, I can't imagine what could have tainted this picture perfect weekend.

GingerGayle and I headed down south to see my family, first stop Gram's. Can...

thejuanupsman:
Hi, So once again I am slow to respond. Things are hectic, tense, wierd and lots of other cryptic words. So this may be long and there may be a struggle for context. Heh I wonder how many times a month I say that?

Still have not seen Kill Bill Vol. 2. I will add it to my NetFlix queue.

I have drank an entire bottle many, many times. Not wine, Whiskey, and unlike you I was not a happy drunk. I got mean. But I don't do that anymore.

Very little comforts me these days. I wish I could change that, but, at least for right now, I don't think I can. I do get some comforts from my cats. They always seem to know when I am down.

The first kiss I remember was when I was 6. A few older girls held me down so this girl Cindy could kiss me. I was pretty mad about the whole thing,

But the first real kiss? I was in 5th grade, 11 years old. An extremely shy pudgy kid. Somehow I had gotten involved in some horrid skit contest. This girl, MIchelle, was teaching me to waltz for part of the skit we were doing. Anyway while we were dancing, my hand slipped- for real it was totally an accident-- and brushed across her chest. Her just began to recently develop chest. Mortified, I snatched my hand away. As I was standing there slowly turning beet red and stammering she gave me a strange look and began moving toward me, literally backing me into the wall. The next thing I knew she was kissing me. A very long, very confusing, very proficient (only on her part smile ) kiss. She then pulled away from me and resumend her instructions. We never kissed again or talked about the kiss. I didn't tell anyone else about it for many, many years. In fact years later when a girl named Sandy kissed me during a game of strip poker I let her and everyone else think that was my first kiss.

Heh, well I don't know about famous... wink

I hope you are right about it being better to regret something you did than something you didn't do. I may have many regrets after this coming weekend but at least it won't be regretting never giving something a chance.

My favorite Halloween memory: My daughter was two. We were taking her out fot her first Halloween. In my old neighborhood. Showing her off to everyone. Because it was a busy night and she was still pretty young, I was carrying her. She was a big hit. Everyone loved the little lamb outfit. She was adorable and I thought it was all going well. We were just leaving about the 7th or 8th house of at least 30 that I had planned on visiting, when she looked at me with that recently mastered stern look and loudly said "Daddy, no More Walk FOR CANDY!!!!"

Glad to hear your Halloween was good. My weekend was good too. I have hope this coming weekend will be even better. But I am also tense & worried. Oh and cryptic, lets not forget cryptic.

wink

eeek HAPPY HALLOWEEN! eeek

The party has already started. The call came about 2 minutes ago..."ditch work, and come play," cousin Sam's voice sang over the phone. Of course, I can't. Somewhere along the line, responsibility became a permanent part of my thought process. I CURSE YOU, RESPONSIBILITY!

So, at 10 a.m. Saturday, the weekend will officially begin. GingerGayle and I are headed south about an hour...

What a GREAT night!

YAY for THURSDAY! I'm SOOO happy to be on the threshold of the weekend. Having so much to look forward to in the next couple of days, helps erase the all-consuming thoughts that have monopolized my existence (dramatic, huh?)

The costume is ready, a water fairy, and the weather is set to breezy and in the 70's. Lovely!

Today, at work...

Yes, I have seen the "The Man in the Moon." A lovely little film with a very sad ending. Miss Reese was absolutely adorable in it, as was the boy who played her doomed "sweetheart." Very sweet and sentimental. *sniffle*

Happy Halloween to YOU, pumpkin!!! kiss kiss
Enjoy!!

Wine was in order yesterday. I will it so, and so it be. Ended up sleeping like a baby, which was a relief. Much needed. I was tired of the crying...tired of the mess...tired.

Tonight, I'm headed off to a haunted house. There's a thrill that comes over my closest friends in my fear. I'm very dramatic about being scared...(shocker, right?) I support any...

ps

I'm going to be, intentionally - at least - a quarter hour late this morning without calling and reporting my whereabouts (usually carries a heavy penalty)... I'm prep'ing them for the eventuality of me just not showing up at all. I'll keep you informed...

dood, i need some coffee............
supernovice:
unbelievable............. surreal

so, i'm home from work... I thought i'd really pull one over on them and show up about an hour and fifteen minutes late. no one called looking for me or tried the old "wake-up call" thingy. I walked in, saw only one other guy and said, "HA! I FINALLY CAME IN LATE ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO HAVE BEEN DISMISSED"!!!!
he said, "no. no one came in today, you're the only one. i think you just needed to call in by 0915".... bunch of no-talent ass-clowns. i'm not even going tomorrow, seriously.... just not gonna go. EL SUICIDO LOCO

The plan for recouping and a stress-free weekend disappeared into a flood of issues. Proving to myself, once again, that making decisions in the throws of distress isn't exactly the best course of action.

Saturday is was work, work, and more work. A little sleep, then the World Series Game 1. Then after, in my brilliance, I watched the Bridges of Madison County. That movie...

I did something this week, I have NEVER done...got myself a sweet bottle of White Zinfindel out of the frig and a pretty wine glass, and in the period of an afternoon, I drank the whole thing. Chilling back, reading, then drunk and dialing everyone on my speed dial list. (still not sure what the pizza people thought of my drunk phone call). But...

Quentin Tarantino is a GENIUS!
Call me behind the times but we watched Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 over the last couple of days, and I'm just amazed at this guy's vision. If you haven't seen it, I believe this to be THE movie experience. And I believe Quentin to be a serial killer with a camera, there's something strangely eccentric about this man....

...and so the battle begins

Half way through the month of October, it's the battle between programming and advertising at work, and it's growing more tedious every day. With a presidential election year upon us (VOTE!) The battle between air time is full force, indicating that this is going to be a long journey between now and Nov. 2nd. Being the go-between is a familiar...
