I saw Noam Chomsky speak at the Kennedy School on Monday night. That was just what I needed because he totally shot down all these wonkish bratty entitled shit heads (all men who stood up to ask questions) who think we are going to war to defend democracy, or at least are complicit in the power-mongering of the Bush fuckers. He laid out a totally sound premise: we are going to war because that is what is necessary for dominance in the ME region; right wing oligarchs will utilize the fear of the population to get what they want; bush will push the war to distract from the trouble on the domestic front, and 9/11 gives him the cover to do so.
Fucking love Noam.
I am not so scared by Mitt Romney, though he's gonna fuck shit up a bit ... I'm kind of curious to see how him and fineran work it out. The bilinqual ed. story is plain fucked up. What do the suburbs know about teaching anything to a bunch of immigrants with zero language proficiency?
