mcfly is a four piece boy band, they do play their own instruments, unlike some of the others. it's mostly pop with a slight rock edge to some of their later stuff, but their earlier stuff was beach boys influenced.
to me they are just easy listening, but i haven't been to a gig for an age, so anything will do plus i can't wait to see my daughters face when her idols come on stage, it's also her first gig.
i love the smurfs too and i think it's brilliant that the kids of today love them.
