Hello to all, I have been unable to do some stuff because I have been away from the "city", I have been staying at what you might describe as a beach house in Vega Baja. I have been hanging out a lot with my dad since his heart attack and well, no time to go the postal office etc. Hopefully by next week my life will return to some kind of normality, at least I have internet installed here, but it is not dsl That does not mean I cannot download music still I am downloading right about now some mashups from Dopplebanger.
I got two cd-r's full of music yesterday, on mp3 format. About 31 full albums, some of them double albums Included where almost all Luis Alberto Spinetta's albums (including his many bands) and also some albums by Charly Garcia. It rules, because almost all of this albums are impossible to find here in Puerto Rico.
You gotta love the mp3 and the cd burning technology I have to say I prefer this as a gift than someone buying me album from a store, I mean, you cannot beat 31 full abums vs. ONLY one album!!
I got yesterday the latest release by Cafe Tacuba!!! It is a three cd/one dvd release and it includes live stuff from two dates they did on October last year to celebrate their 15 years together. It is very very good, it has some friends from fellow bands performing with them (including Patricio from Santa Sabina, who is a great drummer, and Lino from La Lupita). Also they did a very cool medley fo songs from bands that they are friends with, inlcluding "Bolero Falaz" from Aterciopelados and "Viento" from the late great band Caifanes.
