Hello! I am back from Vega Baja and my Christmas weekend. I had a great time with lots of family, great food and awesome dvd's! I saw "Mary Poppins", "The Princess diaries 2", "I, robot", "Duck Soup" and lots of episodes of the last season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer". My favorites movies were "Mary Poppins" and "Duck Soup", of course. Julie Andrews is movie royalty, and Dick Van Dyke is amazing, and the rest of the actors are great, especially the father. Have anyone else noticed that in today moviemaking there are no actors (besides Julia Roberts) that has the grace, beauty and elegance of someone like Julie Andrews, Marylin Monroe, Ingrid Bergman or Audrey Hepburn, for example. At least the rest of the world has actresses like Isabella Rosellini, Lena Olin ansd Juliete Binoche.
I got new bools!!!! I have the latest edition of "El quijote de la Mancha" published on the fourth century celebration of the best literary work written in spanish (o castellano, para los hispanoparlantes). Included with the beautiful hardcover edition is an introduction by Mario Vargas Llosa and many other extras. I also have the Thomas Friedman book that deals with issues of globalization and the Stephen King and Stewart O'Nan book about the Boston Red Sox 2004 season (I am reading right now and so far I LOVE IT!).
I think this will be all for today, but hopefully tomorrow I will write more.
