I just got back from watching "The motorcycle diaries" and am still stunned. It is a very funny movie for about the first 3/4 parts are quite funny in a coming-of-age kind of way, but the last 1/4 is very sad and intense, most of all because you know how they will all end, and who will be winners in the long run. Why do good people die like they do, Guevara for example, while evil people die of old age, like Francisco Franco, Richard Nixon or Augusto Pinochet.
It is heartbreaking that he died like he did, I believe that he is was so much better a person than most people I have known, and I know he was not flawless, but then again only invisible, divine beings can be perfect.
I am angry at the CIA and all the businesses that benefited from exploting and killing Latin America and his , and people still wonder why some people might hate the USA.
But enough of that, lets hope that all people can achieve some level of compassion for other people's suffering and try to be more aware that we are not alone in the world, that we are part of a whole and as such should try to make living here bearable or even a pleasurable experience.
