Week ending journal entry:
Hello to all! its almost one AM in Puerto Rico and I woke up after a kinda long nap because I was exhausted from work and lack of sleep (I hardly could sleep after my Mets were beaten by the Cardinals last night)...But I am now full of energy thanks to coffee and said nap!
1. First of all, the first mix cd for the PSW mix exchange was mailed today! I already chose the songs for the second one and have ideas for the next two, one of upbeat cool electronica and another of psychedelic trippy rock Flaming Lips/style
2. Let's talk a bit about this week in sports: all my teams lost: the Arsenal, Barca, Benfica, the Mets...I hope that at least Barca destroy Real Madrid this Sunday "Marid se quema, se quema Madrid, Madrid se quema, se quema Madrid"
and that Detroit kills some Saint Louis birds!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. Anyone saw some of last night MTV Latin music awards???? I was curious about it, because it was done in DF and some musicians I like were performing (Calle 13, Julieta Venegas Kinky)... okay, about cultural stereotypes, supposedly blacks and latin are hot, energetic, passionate, better dancers, have better rythmic sense or whatever... so I think Robbie Williams performance in the show single-handedly destroyed those cliches!!! His performance was so intense: he was the best rapper of the night, the best dancer (I love to watch when someone who does not know how to dance tries to with intensity, just cool and hilarious!!), the best singer, etc. I was aware of him but now I want to own his albums, etc. And I hope people who organize those things to realize that live musicians and/or bands are better ALWAYS than electronic acts/dj's, etc. The show should have ended with Mr. Williams, but it did not, its just slowly died aferwards, all the enery dissipated afterwards...
I think that will be all for tonight, but there might be more tomorrow or on Sunday, Tons of love to you all, have a kick-ass weekend, and cool Halloween parties in the following days (for those of you into that ), take care
