Mid week update!!
Today is Superaquello wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am listening to them in preparation for a great evening concert from my fav musical act from Puerto Rico, I LOVE THIS GROUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mexico lost earlier today and I am mad and sad because they played badly, but at least el Kikin Fonseca made a nice gol!! They better get their act together for the next round where this kind of playing will not cut it. In an hour two powerhouses play, Holland versus Argentina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be a classic, I can feel it, and I am hoping for another great perfomance from the country that gave us Charly Garcia, Julio Cortazar and Diego Maradona!!!!
I do not know if I wrote this but the latest novel that won the Alfaguara prize for best novel, "Abril Rojo" by Santiago Roncagliolo is a classic must-read, it deals with the aftermath of the war between the Peru goverment and Sendero Luminoso, a very bloody war that happened during the 1980's.
I am reading and LOVING the latest by Mario Vargas Llosa, another great novel by him, chek it out!!!!!
Before I leave I want to say how envious I am of the following people: Polonovia, her husband Jamie and my dear Elga Castro, who watched live the Spain versus Tunisia match on monday. I WOULD LOVE TO BE IN GERMANY RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, go Argentina go!!!!!!!!!!
