Journal entry, weekend edition
There was no midweek entry because the internet was acting funky since monday, so I was hardly online, but hopefully it is fixed now (there was a major internet failure in the area I live).
Okay, the nicest thing that happened to me this week was that I rediscovered and fell in love with Gabriel Garcia Marques AGAIN
I started writing one of his collection of newspaper and magazines articles and was falling in love again, crying every now and again, smiling and laughing hard with his great and beautiful writing. I was particularly impressed by an article he wrote immediately after John Lennon was murdered, and how the tragedy affected not only his generation but also his parents and also his own children generation. In it he writes about the Beatles music and nostalgia, about how life changed after they released "Help" and all those wonderful songs, and I always cry while reading it.
So go seek any of his writings out, he is one of the best out there!

THis week the store I work in will get a much needed facelift and that means I will work a million hours but it is okay because right now the store looks like shit. Also, and this has me very happy, I will watch Balun live again!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!! On thursday, at the Feria de Musica Urbana they will be the headliners on the electronic music stage. And, hoperfully I will take some photos to post here afterwards!!!
Some good music was released this lasdt few weeks including the new Sounds album which is fucking awesome!! the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs and this next Tuesday a new Flaming Lips comes out!! so be nice people and go get this albums now! Bye and have a great weekend!
