Hello to all, I have been tagged by the great Fernando37 to make a list of 20 facts about me. So here it goes:
1. I have two great and very long friendships, people who have been near for almost 20 years, which is, I have heard, an oddity.
2. I have an easier time connecting with women than with men and mostly my closest human relationships are with them. Althought they are usually females with weird taste and attitude, like girls who are into sports, wrestling, books and music.
3. I am very much into lingerie, especially panties and sheer and see-thru clothing. Also I love how women look in long dresses and long skirts.
4. I used to be religious, but now I am not a believer in gods, althought I still believe in invisible stuff.
5. I think I am very sensitive and I get sad to learn that other people who I think are awesome turn out to be selfish and indifferent to the rest of the world. At the same time I have big emphaty towards people that above everyting else believe in sharing and solidarity.
6. My favorite word is solidarity, in spanish it sounds prettier, "Solidaridad"
7. I am very much still in love with my last girlfriend, even thought it has been almost two years since we last saw each other and I think I do not want to see her again. I am afraid of running into her and am grateful this it has not happened yet.
8. I cry all the time, music makes me cry, Woody Allen movies make me cry, Joss Whedon' stories make me cry, Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" made me cry very hard while riding the bus, Luis Eduardo Aute's "Las cuatro y diez" make my eyes watery almost always...
9. I work in retail, selling music, movies and games and I like it most of the time.
10. I hate radio and I think people are better off without it, at least fm radio should die right now, unless it stopped playing major label crap.
11. I used be very involved in political left wing activism, strikes, rally's and all that.
12. I love my parents very much and I think they are way better persons than I am, I whish I was as loving as them, and selfless.
13. I can be arrogant at times, and when you can back it up, it is not that bad a character trait, I hate fake modesty more. That said, I love my heroes to be humble, like Pablo Milanes, Julio Cortazar and Louis Armstrong, even thought I think Miles Davis is a more acomplished musician, Louis was the better person.
14. I have a compulsive personality and I can be obssesive about stuff like books, movies and music, and I tend to notice less visual characteristics, like faces, but I almost never forget stories and personality traits. Also if I meet a person and music is playing somewhere I always remember and associate that person to that certain song.
15. I believe in good manners, old school good manners, and feel that people without who behave without manners are less than others.
16. I do not think patriotism is necessarily a good quality.
17. I am very much against racism, misoginy, xenophobe people and gayhaters. There is much of those last two in my country, sadly so...
18. Contemporary pop music depresses me, it is like kryptonite, I get tired faster, etc.
19. I probably will not ever have children, and if I did they will be adopted.
20. Wow, this is a long list... I do not have musical talent and I envy those who do, I also wish there was a way I could spend all my time listening to new music, reading cool books and watching movies and get paid by doing so. I read compulsively, and I usually like to hang out in bookstores, somewhere in a corner reading with some coffee in front of me, and the Ipod playing something by Migala or the Jesus and Mary Chain. I also hate clubs, most of them anyway, and hate to have to raise my voice in order to have a conversation with somebody.
