On Tuesday, I had the day off. Nina and I took the Pine shuttle to The Pike and dined on yummy slices of cheese pizza and parmesan twisty bread at Extreme Pizza. Then we walked across Seaside Way to the Aquarium of the Pacific, where we ran around taking pictures of sea creatures, petted sharks and rays at the shark pools, and could not escape the vile stench of some unknown guy's body odor. I always love petting the sharks and rays. The rays, especially, are like sea puppies that sometimes peek up at you with their faces up from the water and their "wings" flapping about. So cute! There was a sea lion that came up from the water and just sort of floated in front of this little boy for a good two minutes, with his eyes closed. Even more cute! He was a dark, spotted seal. Eeeeee! love Near the end of our little trip to the Aquarium, a man wearing a bright pink shirt) and his two children were observing one of the giant aquariums near the entrance of the building. Nina and I happened to be sitting on the couch in front of the display, when the man had kneeled down to talk to his kids and show them the fish, and then proceeded to bend over and (according to Nina) he ended up showing his crack, like woah. I didn't see that (whew!), cos I turned away as soon as I saw out of the corner of my eye that he'd even bent forward. Apparently Nina got the whole visual, and when she asked me to help her off the couch, she was laughing so hard that I couldn't even pull her up.

Yes, we're adults. tongue

We walked into the gift store before leaving. She wanted to look at this stuffed toy shark that we saw from up on the second floor through the gift shop window, because it looked like he was smiling and telling us to take him home. But when we got to the shop, we didn't even look at him. She went straight for the little squeaky toys, and got annoyed that I was so immersed in the little kids book section. There was one of those books with the button pictures for you to press, making annoyingly funny sounds. I couldn't stop pressing the buttons and she kept saying, "Jooooooooooss! I hate you! Put it down, look!" while holding a little toy otter or a toy jellyfish. One of the buttons I kept pressing was this little robot guy that made an outer-space techno boing! sound, and Nina grabbed the book and tried to take it away from me. I was laughing so hard that it made me too weak to even try to keep the book within my grasp. The two of us were practically falling over, wondering if we'd be kicked out right before leaving.

We took the shuttle up to the new 7-Eleven on Broadway and stopped for some Vitamin Water, regular spring water, and some ice cream. Nina got a chocolate power bar, which looked like doody and surprisingly tasted good. I came home with some light cherry chocolate truffle ice cream and ate a little bit before it was too melty for my liking.

iono what we ended up doing after that, but then I realized it was almost 2 AM. My Internet Girlfriend asked why I was still awake, seeing as how my five-day weekend had ended and I needed to be at work the next morning. I'd lost track of the time. Having the wee sister here really is that much fun. Sometimes I feel bad for Jeremy because whenever Nina is here, I giggle so much to where my tummy and face hurt so bad, and he has to wait for me to control myself before we go anywhere. Last year when Nina visited, the first place we went was In-N-Out for some foodies just after she got off the plane. I don't remember what the heck we were laughing about, but we couldn't stop laughing for a good half hour. Jeremy said then that he wasn't sure having Nina over was a good idea because I "get all giggly" and I don't stop for awhile.

Now we're at the office, and she's making me laugh again!

We wish we could be this close with our older sister. frown

PS RoxyMonoxcide and nonsense are about to give birth! YEY BABIES! biggrin

I understand, but you really didn't come across that way. I'm a military spouse of sorts and I know that once my guy gets done with his tour that he will most probably not be the exact same guy that I sent off to Iraq and I'm prepared for a rough road. I guess I took it a little personally, that's all.

I was recounting my love affair with LBC and peeked around on SGLBC and saw an entry called "Mini-Joss" and thought you were pregnant. Are you coming up to SF any time soon? I think the next time I'm going to LBC is on 10/20.

Keep on rocking, my little rocker.
