Sigh....saying goodbye is tough.
I am on the last day of my contract work here in Campbell River. Because I am going to school full-time in September this is the end of my 4 year career as a professional distraction.
I am glad for the ending, and the new beginning that comes with it, however my insides are twisting in grief as I struggle to say farewell to the people I have met, as well as the girl I was when I begun this strange, silly, ridiculous, exciting, boring, horrible, magnificant, amazing journey. I mourn the people and places I leave behind, as well as those parts of myself that either are no longer needed, or were distroyed, along the way.
Leaving early tomorrow to travel back down the Island, or up, I dunno I am not so good with directions. And then after a week there, hopefully, back home.
I spent one night in my own bed in the last month. And perhaps a week there in the last two months or so. I miss home. I am weary of living out of a suitcase. But I am just taking my time to soak this all in, and give a long sweet embrace farewell.
Oh, and the Zombie experience still colors my dreams, LOL
