I haven't been too vocal lately on my journal. I'm not sure why, exactly. But if anyone is wondering what I've been up to lately, I thought I'd show you this time instead:

That pretty much sums it up. Hope your Turkey Day is a good one. Don't cook too hard. And thank a truck driver for making your meal possible.

Man, HDTV is just to-die-for. Honestly I've never really been a huge fan of watching TV. I have a great flat panel HDTV but for the most part I've simply indulged my hobby of collecting DVDs. I recently got an actual cable box from my cable company however. Previously I was able to tune in A FEW channels in HDTV by simply using the tuner...

Murphy's Law seems to dictate that the number of delays increases as I'm trying to get home.

Very annoying.

Indeed, it's known as the Trucker's Corollary.

I want Rizzo cuz all my friends call me that anyway. And if I get that I have a whole Grease-themed set idea.

So this morning I'm delivering to a recycling yard in Framingham, Massachusetts. It's a good thing I have waterproof boots because I stepped into some filthy water about up to my ankles. Totally couldn't tell either... looked like solid ground -- or junk rather. Pants and boots got wet but my feet remained dry. Lucky.

Ended up talking to the guy who owns the place....

I think I need to buy a Slingbox. This could be the best invention ever for someone mobile such as myself. More investigation is necessary but this sounds fantastic.

I'm making a delivery this morning and then expect to be at home until Tuesday morning. Sweet, sweet time off to do mostly nothing. Unless someone has better suggestions.

Maybe a wee bit more money. They're not overworking me and I'm really not complaining about it. It's kind of like working for a much smaller company, since dedicated rome family dollar is one planner, one fleet mgr and about fifty drivers or so. So they have a much better idea of what kind of hours i have available and I get some time for resets and so forth. Bloody hard work unloading the trailers and often it's a bitch finding the store and getting backed into or out of wherever i need to be to unload, but overall it's lower stress than running 48 was.

Well, I'm back. Actually back at work already as of this morning. I have stuff to write about, but no time to do so at the moment. That'll have to wait until tonight or tomorrow (or whatever). Hope everyone's doing well. I'll catch up when I can.

Indeed The 34 reset is/was very nice. But the world won't do anything that's helpful to the people who it depends on for survival so what do you expect.
razorshimmy:
Well, the trip sounded loverly, hope it went as well as the optimistic imagination can generate!
