Kind of wish the new Bond was being released THIS weekend rather than next here in the US. I think it's already out in pretty much the rest of the world. Since it's rainy and I have no dates going on this weekend, it'd be perfect. Ah well.
Speaking of dates, even though nothing's quite working out yet... I'm still getting myself out there. Talking, meeting. It's a good thing. It's not that I'm impatient -- just that spending all those years living in a truck has been quite detrimental to my social skills. But I'm optimistic.
Nothing much else on my mind. I've already praised Americans for not being COMPLETE morons, for once. I kept in contact with my friend Angela constantly on election night. We were both really disappointed that Californians passed Prop. 8 and repealed the legality of same sex marriage there. Such overwhelming bigotry is quite unbecoming of a state normally on the leading edge of social progress. Shame on them. Hopefully the legal challenges will succeed.
I blame religion. Religion sucks. Religion is responsible for all of the worst atrocities throughout human history. It is behavior control, power, and oppression in the guise of promising immortality. I guess religion isn't UNIVERSALLY bad. I do genuinely believe that most people with faith THINK they're being guided to live a moral life. It's just that my own observations don't agree with that assessment. I recognize that some people need that hope in their lives that something else exists beyond. But I'm perfectly comfortable accepting that we're a wonderful accident.

I agree with you on the new Bond, but what about Role Models? Seems like it could be good. Did you see Paul Rudd on Jon Stewart? He's quite funny.
