Rhode Island is pretty much one big "hometown" really.

Didn't experience any waiting in line. Not sure if that is good or bad, but Rhode Island is pretty much a "gimmie" for the Democratic presidential candidate anyway.

We have a couple of important state questions on the ballot as well. Hopefully Rhode Islanders are smart enough to approve question #1 so we can get some of these decrepit roads and bridges fixed. We have some of the worst in the nation here. But the fuckwads in Massachusetts (not the citizens as a whole, but the state government) have been running some extremely irresponsible commercials on RI television stations. In Mass. their "Question #1" has to do with repealing the state income tax. Clearly the state government doesn't want that to pass. So they've purchased advertising on television here since many Massachusetts communities get their local television from Providence stations. These commercials simply state that people should vote NO on question #1. It doesn't say what state. It doesn't even say what the question is about.

Stupid. Very irresponsibly made ads. But also very bad form by the RI television stations who felt it was more important to accept their ad revenue than to do the right thing and not air a commercial that could seriously confuse Rhode Island voters.

So if Rhode Island happens to reject OUR question 1, blame the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I can't think that anyone of sound mind would actually reject fixing our highway infrastructure here. The shit is falling apart, seriously.

I got to my polling place and there was this ridiculous line. I stood there for a bout a minute when I guy came out and said "anyone with the last name L-Z?" I got all excited and was out of there in no time when it was pretty obvious that some of the people in line had been there for about an hour.

I agree about the ads. That was really dumb.
