Every time I am trying to get home, something annoying occurs. Almost without fail, as if... like Depeche Mode says... God has a sick sense of humor. Not that I put much credence in divine existence.

I get to my delivery location late yesterday afternoon. It's a business I've been to a million times, and I usually just park in their dock overnight. Well, I guess I'd never arrived on a Sunday before and they had the entire place locked up. The lot gate was closed and chained, and thus I couldn't follow my normal routine. So I go on down to the TA and have some pancakes. Then I decide that I didn't like my parking spot because I had the potential to be blocked in when morning came. Nothing worse than not having an escape route. So I left there and went over to the nearby rest area to sleep. Watched "The Departed" again. That's a wicked good fahkin' movie, ya fahkin queahs.

Woke up at 5:50, got BACK to the delivery business at 6:10. There was already another truck sitting parked in the unloading dock. And this is a place that takes about 2-3 hours to unload. Goddammit! As soon as I'm empty I'm on my way home for 6 days. Why must I be tormented sitting around doing nothing? Very annoying. Granted, I have no immediate plans upon getting home aside from taking my mother out to lunch. Assuming I make it in time for lunch. I plan to spend tomorrow drinking beer and playing video games. Then the rest of the week... dunno yet. I'll make it up as I go along.
