I recognize my utter failure to keep this page updated in a reasonable fashion. There simply hasn't been a whole lot going on worth talking about. Well... there are SOME changes I guess.
I also recognize my own stereotypical maleness in being snapped back into the mood to update by seeing a lovely picture of FigmentofaPearl in her journal. Ok so yeah... I'm a visual creature. But then again I am preaching to the choir on a site like this I suppose. Ladies are simply lovely, and I appreciate it.
Then again, I have been particularly antisocial for several years now. I attribute that to a number of reasons, most obviously having gotten divorced and feeling reluctant to repeat mistakes. That's not to imply that I feel like the fault was mine... but the success or failure of relationships is always the responsibility of both. So I'll take my share. Then there is my occupation. Traveling around makes it both difficult and (from my speculation of a female's perspective) undesireable to be in a relationship. You want to BE with someone you care about. As an over-the-road driver, I can't. And that isn't very fair to someone else.
But enough about that. I'm thinking about going to work for a new company. I don't imagine very much would change in my typical routine. Just seeking the atmosphere that best suits me, I guess. Anyhow, that may happen in a week or two. I'd still be working in more or less the same area... the eastern half of the US.
May go see "Annapolis" some time this week. I've also got "Underworld 2" on my radar... I have the first one on DVD and certainly enjoy it. What is it about vampirism that is so... compelling? /shrug
Got a new laptop too. $3400... I blame my addiction to games on having to spend so much money. The old one will be up for sale once it comes back from being refurbished by the repair depot.
