Quite often, I regret having incorporated in the state of Connecticut. Before I went into business for myself, I heard all sorts of radio offers about "Incorporating in Nevada". I assume I wouldn't even have to change my own personal residency.

I should have listened. Seriously. Too much BS and red tape here, not to mention a less favorable tax situation.

I disagree completly, company drivers do have a choice, they have the choice to quit.

It is easier for a compnay driver, a company driver doesnt have a truck/trailer payment to make.

I am guessing your running a company sled, you have the option at any time to tell them to kiss off and piss off.

I was thinking you were a OO for some reason, this strike really applies to us.

On another note though, Companies that take the best care of thier drivers are going to attract the best ones and keep them. Really for a company driver, it is a matter of finding that comapny.

well the thing is though, on this strike there is suposed to be 6500 trucks shutting down atleast. These are all people who have pleged to come in and do so by faxing in a form saying that they would. Between now and when we all shut down, there will be sure to be many more who get on board.

if 7000 + trucks shut down for 3 days, swift schnider and jb hunt all togeather cannot cover that influx, it would really make a big deal.

The thing that I see is that this trend could continue so just before christmas we have another, and mabie this time we can get close to 20,000 to shut down, if that is the case, the we will be all over the news come cristmas, and there will be allot of empty shelves.

This will really get the publics attention.

You cannot register a commercial truck in person in the state of Connecticut. It can only be done by mail. Thus... more delay. Gah.

Do you know... I have spent over a thousand dollars so far on a rental car? I keep extending the contract to keep it longer in the hopes that everything will be done soon. Logic would say just return it...
