I haven't owned a firearm in a few years, but that'll soon change again. Got to decide what I'll be buying. Do I make my first new one a revolver or semi? The former is more classy, the latter is more practical. I guess I should just see what feels right these days.

Every time I am trying to get home, something annoying occurs. Almost without fail, as if... like Depeche Mode says... God has a sick sense of humor. Not that I put much credence in divine existence.

I get to my delivery location late yesterday afternoon. It's a business I've been to a million times, and I usually just park in their dock overnight. Well, I...

Sometimes I have some days that just aren't enjoyable. I spent the majority of my Thursday dealing with Chicago area traffic since I had to go through the city twice to get up by Milwaukee (and back out). Yeah, that pretty much sucked, especially since it meant the bulk of my actual miles were still ahead of me by 5pm. But the Indiana and Ohio...

First of all, me and two other guys run the banquet department at the Four Points Sheraton in Ann Arbor. Weddings, conferences, conventions, bar mitzvah's and the like. Not too bad of a gig sometimes.

Your last comment totally ended up bashing on all the places that I like and hang out in. But that is alright!

Yeah, pittsburgh is a city that is in trouble. Much like detroit was about 7 years ago or so. The "D" as us retarded Ohioians that live in michigan like to call Detroit, is on the up and up! Murder is down and the downtown area is totally being turned into something different and it is becoming alive again! I guess what I am trying to say is that detroit was much, much worse of a shit-hole than it is now!

Now it is time to take a leak on Boston! Hehehehe. My boston story.

I had two friends that lived in Jamaica Plains. One went to school and the other one just worked at a bookstore. So a friend of mine and myself went out to visit them. Once we got into their neighborhood, prolly around 11:30pm, we saw A TON of cops running around with M-16 looking guns drawn, riot gear on, and lots of police dogs running all around! Turns out a cop got shot like 10 minutes before we got into their neighborhood. That happened the first night we were there. Three nights later, we were watching a movie and hear all these car wheels screeching, then we hear gunshots. Not far away, BUT RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FRONT WINDOW! Someone shot someone in the pizza joint like 3 houses down from my friends crib! We saw the shooter, the gun, and the getaway car! It was crazy. And you say Detroit is bad!

Two shootings in less than a week! It was crazy! Besides that I have no problem with the city of boston! I love the old cemetaries the best.

My post is getting long, so I am done.
Have a great day on the road!

I don't want to jump ship from swift too soon unless things get real intolerable. After several months there I'll either want to go somewhere else or do the lease operator thing. I don't imagine being a lease operator would really pay any more than the average company driver gets, but there is a bit more independence and the kenworth trucks are very nice. I can't say I love my volvo. It breaks down too much. The cummins engine doesn't break, but it's pretty paltry at 400 hp when you've go 30,000 or more pounds on.

Well, Chicagoland is still fucked up. I guess I'd just had an unusual string of good luck leading up to today. So I can safely go on hating the area. I have to go back through it again this afternoon because my trip takes me from Sussex, Wisconsin (west of Milwaukee, I'm there now), to Pittsburgh. Most of the trip will be a breeze along...

Got to the Flying J in Lowell, Indiana relatively early. Anywhere "close" to Chicago... and you must get to the truck stops early if you expect there to be parking available. I have a 7am appointment in Joliet in the morning. Since it's Central time here, I can wake up at 6am my time and still make the 65 mile trip with time to spare....

I'm at 26cpm. Slave labor. But after 30 days i could do northeast regional for 36 cpm, or see what else i might be able to do. In retrospect i suspect that your recommendation of doing us xpress was probably sound, but i'm just hangin in there with swift. Hard to say what reasons for doing or not doing whatever are sound or unsound at this point. one needs more knowledge.

I've been working on sort of a 2nd shift schedule lately. Where my trips don't actually begin until early evening and I work into the wee hours. The problem is that my delivery times are usually first thing in the morning, and then I'm already awake. So in other words, I haven't been getting enough sleep and that is annoying. On the brighter side, I...

One of the advantages of working for a small company is I get some input regarding my own workload. And unlike some other places I've been over the years, Pohl will give me as much work as I say I can do. But sometimes I bite off more than I can chew. biggrin I took a trip from Findlay, Ohio to Wurtsboro, New York AND BACK...

Got my air conditioner and bunk-heater fixed yet again. Supposedly. We'll see if that lasts more than 24 hours this time. I've been getting annoyed at freezing my ass off at night just to save a bit of fuel.

The trucks have heaters that run off of diesel fuel. It keeps the sleeper berth nice and toasty without the need to run the motor all...

Apparently I cannot see my own comment page because it is for friends only. I guess I don't like myself enough.

I suddenly do not belong to any groups.

And it would seem that I haven't yet passed the 9 month minimum membership time required to leave tags on photo-sets either.

The de-evolution of SG. Way to go.
dekews:
My groups stayed. But I've never been able to tag anything. Can't trust that dekews character.
I'm not a fan of the short blog window with the 'read more' button. Can't tell if I can see the whole post or not. mad

I am just now surfing around for the first time and it sucks! I might just log off and not come back for 3 days or so, maybe then they will have some bugs fixed!

Sometimes I don't myself enough. Then I smack myself and go mack on the ladies!

I need to mack on the ladies a little more this month than last!

My attorney's office contacted me today and said that it wouldn't be necessary for me to appear in court tomorrow. They'll be appearing on my behalf to submit a "not guilty" plea and then to reschedule whatever has to come next. I don't really understand why, because I made the arrangements to be available to be there at the East Rutherford court house. Maybe this...

Had the ole Easter Ham Dinner thing yesterday. I don't give a crap about the holiday in general, since the celebration is about something I don't actually have any belief in. But I respect the fact that it's a tradition as well. So I'll happily take another serving of delicious pork products please.

Court on Wednesday. New Jersey should be ashamed for forcing me to...

If memory serves, there used to be an sg with the drawing of "Rock N Roll Band" as a tattoo. It was very cool.

Yeah, I don't really like the holidays too much either. I do however LOVE my family and I love spending time with them! Lots of scrabble gets played and we eat, drink, and be merry! We actually had more of a thanksgiving dinner than easter dinner. We had turkey and taters and the like. No ham at all!

I have always been more of a Dukes of Hazzard kinda dude. Never really got the whole Miami Vice thing....
whatever

I just watched Rocky Balboa. I didn't think it was that bad!!
