It is a fact. Being a hot waitress does in fact affect how much I tip. Now don't get me wrong... I consider myself a very decent tipper, regardless. You start with 15% in my mind and can go up based on many factors, including good service or being a hottie. I've on rare occasion tipped less, but you've really got to earn a shitty...

I listen to a lot of radio. That should probably be obvious for those of you familiar with me and what I do for a living. When you drive as much as I do, radio becomes your primary form of entertainment. And much better than "Free FM", I'm a subscriber to Sirius satellite radio. Considering that you get 130 channels of entertainment, including the new...

well, yeah, it's pretty cold here right now.
dr_lizardo:
I just listen to NPR and the college radio stations.

On "wait, wait don't tell me" this weekend there was a story about how in spains they used Nuns as test subjects to determine whether beer could reduce your cholesterol. The nuns had their cholesterol reduced an average of 6% when they were in 1/2 liter of beer a day.

Atheists aren't necessarily any better than religious person. Atheist leaders like stalin, mao, pol pot and others have killed millions in the name of political change. The human mind can be profoundly self-serving and can construe just about anything it wants as a justifying pretext for blatantly evil actions. Religion tends to fail to redeem peopel from evil, but I do not regard it as causative of evil.

I've never seen a single episode of "The Sopranos". Seriously. But it is on my to-do list. There's no doubt that it is something I'll get around to eventually. But since each season goes for like fifty bucks on DVD... building a collection is a very expensive prospect. I love buying television series on DVD but most of them are around $35 a season. HBO...

I too have never seen even a single episode of the sopranos.

I got a tube of slime years ago for christmas but I've never used it. I don't think you could get it into tires with presta valves anyway.

Tonight I went trapshooting and i talked a bit with my brother who is about to get his license through the coca cola training program. Coke drivers start at 15.60 an hour and work four ten hour days. He's going to ask about a possible position for me. That job would rock the casbah. rather less money than potentially one can make over the road at a better company than swift, but it would earn me a living and give me time to do all the things i did not appreciate having the opportunity to do before I started to never be at home.

My boss--born and raised in Rhode Island--has never seen a single episode of Family Guy. We even carry the toys at the stores he owns. whatever

Arizona sky in Pittsburgh this morning. For whatever inexplicable reason, I've never been a huge fan of this city. But coming down the hill of I-279 this morning with the sun reflecting off the downtown skyscrapers, the city had a bright, clean look to it.

I'm sure that I'd like the city a lot more if it wasn't for the fact that I'm always in...

I've never had any problem with paper rolls other than that they're so damn heavy.

I also have regular size clawhammer tha't useful for alll sorts of things.

My truck doesn't have too much pull power on the heavy loads, but I've learnt to shift it all right with them, just rev to the limiter and shift. I screw up more if I've just pulled a 40k load and start driving empty, I tend to want to shift at too low rpms.

My blog entries have been short and uninformative as of late. And this one shall be no different.

The only thing new going on with me is the occasional jaunt through Middle Earth. Met Tom Bombadil. He was pleasant, if a bit fruity. Went to Rivendell. The elves were a bit haughty, but it was a pretty place. Bree is okay. Typical city of Men...

Oh I'm sorry, I know we aren't going to get into a debate about Detroit sports Vs. Boston sports!
Detroit blows boston out of the water!

Big deal, so you won a few games against us, we will be back!

When was the last time the Celtics or the Bruins had a winning season anyways??

Pistons = Playoffs
Red Wings = Playoffs
Tigers = On the way to the World Series again

Even our Women's team kicks ass! The Shock!

The only title you guys have stole from the D is the murder capital title!

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Honestly, same old shit. Barely worth mentioning. Things are generally good at least.

Nixon's blog has a video of a tanker truck fire that melted a Bay Bridge onramp. If you handn't heard about that already.

truck was in the shop two days. Noone found the air leak so I'll just have to live with it. They did get it running real smoooth and quiet though.
dr_lizardo:
Nothing much. I have photoshop elements on my computer at home and I use it to reduce file sizes to make images small enough to transmit and post in my blog and fit. I don't know if it will run on windows vista but I'll give it a try.

That's right. I'm running around the Shire all barefoot.
