I had one of my annoyingly short conference sessions with my English professor today and she basically told me that she wanted to fix me, but she couldn't because I write like a journalist (I'm a Journalism major, btw) in everything from my lack of proper citations, the amount of research done, and in simply the way the damn paper read. I took that as good news, and it might not really seem like much to anyone else, it definitely made my day.
