Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift
or
Slow and the Wet 2: Connecticut Drift?
So I almost wrecked my car again...on the same damn on-ramp as before...I hate rain, I really do. Earlier today my car told me in not too gentle terms that I need new tires...it told me this by doing a 180 on a curving on-ramp, and let me tell you, there's few things more enjoyable than realizing your traveling down an on-ramp sideways. One of those few things that are more enjoyable generally happens a few moments later when you realize that the car you just saw in your rear-view mirror is the car your currently staring at out your windshield...it's lovely really, especially when you notice the light pole that seems to be moving rapidly in your direction...fuck, I hate rain.
In other news, I think the World Cup is going to turn me into an alcoholic....I say this because I'm apparently one of only 2% of Americans, in that, I don't have a TV. So if I want to watch any of the games, I have to either go to the bar or go to my friend's house, and since he's at work a lot during the day, to the bar it is! Incidentally, I was very pleased today when England won today 1-nil against Ecuador....and Corona costs $3.50 a bottle...
Anything else? Well, my dad is trying to get me to come out to Worldcon in LA to visit him...which I'm sure would be fun, but I can't see myself spending less than a thousand dollars in flight tickets, hotel stay, registration, and assorted artwork/nerdy junk that i just can't live without. And well, a thousand bucks is a lotta money for someone without a job, so one of these days it'll sink through to him, I'm just hoping it'll be sooner rather than later....
