Ben Harper at etown was super cool. Sonya Kitchell also played, she's only 17, which is pretty amazing. Afterwards I gave her rockzombie's phone number.
Then on Wednesday emogoddess, rockzombie, and I saw Tilly and the Wall at The Climax Lounge. It was a cool little venue, and we were caged off at the bar away from the all ages kids. We laughed at the pad lock on the emergency exit, and at Rockzombie who danced like a monkey and threw his shit at the all ages kids.
It was an awesome concert. Rockzombie had a good time, and he had never heard them before. Also, local band Vulpe- not so good. The Hot IQs aren't bad.
The April 22 Earth Day benefit show isn't happening. There just wasn't enough time to get the people together for it. Now I'm working on a show at the end of June. I think it's Tuesday June 27, but I don't have the dates in front of me right now. Currently we are in negotiations with 2 awesome bands to come play, one of them actually uses jelly.
I am going to need to finally get a cell phone in order to do this concert promoter gig. I was one of the few, the proud, the cellularless. Now I can't sing along with Bright Eyes as honestly on, "Got no health insurance, no cellular service..." though I have had health insurance since the beginning of November.
Today Amy and I are going to go look at cell phones. We're going to Best Buy because I want to check out this baby:
Though I might just get a family plan with Amy and if I can't get an espn phone with that, then I'll check out this fucker:
