Yeah, mine is a 14.1, but it's widescreen and that makes a huge difference.

Possibly as late as Mid November though...

Not letting myself get excited until I'm on the bird.

My job sent me to Boston last week. I had never been there before. The training was great, but very long.

I didn't see much of Boston. I went to the original Cheers bar, but I did not throw a tea bag into Boston Harbor. I also did not have great seafood, just alright.

In conclusion- I'm not in a hurry to move there or...

Boston can be a lot of fun... it's where I'll be spending at least a week of my vacation time when I get back.

It's been one week since my last confession.

I started a job. emogoddess's dad asked me today how I liked it so far, "At the end of the day I'm exhausted, but the parts before that are amazing." That's how my week has been.

I organize students to make positive social change.

Tomorrow I will be on my own on a college campus. I'm...

The drive to South Park is beautiful! Based on my experience there this weekend I want to further check out Denver band, Meese.

I start my new job tomorrow. It's all very exciting.

My grandmother died early this morning. Tomorrow they were going to have to decide if they should keep the machines on or not, so it's better that no one had to make...

My week in a short post:

I saw Rainer Maria, and I thought it was great.

My grandmother is dying, and I'm surprised that she has made it this far into the week already.

I was finally offered a job, and I told them I'll think about it and get back to them.

I'm going down to South Park for the Music Festival this weekend.

sorry to hear that about your grandmother.

hope you find a seamstress to make you that fancy outfit... Maybe Ramby could help you out!

My fondness for trvia helped me win 2 tickets to see Rainer Maria on Sunday night at the Bluebird. Now I just need to get someone to cover my shift that night.

I didn't get the job I posted about last. That means I've been passed up for that position twice now in the last eight months. The odd thing is I was much closer...

Your man Thurston is a genius.......... this is why.

I would love to go, but I don't think that my 30days off starts until the 15th of Dec.. I also got a good idea from Hugo about going to Big Day Out in Aurstralia, but it isn't until late Jan early Feb... that would have been fun too because I know a couple of people out there in the outback.

Ben Harper and Damian Marley at Red Rocks is one of the best shows I have ever seen. At two seperate points during the show I was saying to myself, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god". My mind was blown.

Up this week I'll see two or maybe 3 shows if I am lucky. The guarantees: Shooter Jennings and Cat Power(solo show)....

haha! yeah, they were the quintessential record store snobs. they would absolutely sneer unless you were getting some 15 year old out of print japanoise limited edition EP, but chances are excellent that's exactly what I was there for. but this time at barts, I was just looking for the raconteurs cd and the latest cat power album. these things should be right up their alley! but, of course, no luck.

who owns bart's now? seems to be all the same people working there as always, bart himself included.
wardy:
how many Marleys are there???? surreal

"Hey Thurston I'm at Grant Park right now and.."
"Grant Park? What for?"
"Lollapalooza"
"Lollapalooza? Lollapalooza isn't today"
"Sure it is! Today, tomorrow, and sunday."
"Oh yah? I just thought it was a one day festival. Yah, umm, our guest list isn't there yet. We're in Detroit, so we'll have it there tomorrow."
"Ok, Be Your Own Pet is one of the first bands playing...

I have an in person job interview, then a phone interview, then I'm getting on the bus and heading to the airport where I will end my evening in Seattle Washington. I've never been there, and I will only be there for less then 36 hours in total, but I'm going to make the best of it!

See you Sunday.

the folks fest is gonna be nutty this year. I'd really like to catch the mabon one of these times, actually. I got a thang for celtic music.

I didn't really see the go team, sadly. at that point I hadn't made up my mind to abandon the folks I was with and ride my own concert flow. but they were perfectly happy in the 45th row because they were there to consume as many different drugs as possible, while I was there to experience the show as clearly and intensely as I could. when the go team was on, I was still on their fuzzy little planet... but I knew I couldn't waste a perfectly good flaming lips show like that! I strapped on my rock helmet, split off and headed for the front. \\m/ mad \\m/
