I recently and only recently discovered that my uncle made a cd of my mom's singing. I tried to upload it to youtube, but it wouldn't accept the WMV format, so here it is on SG.

I also decided to scan a few pictures of my mom that my dad took years ago.




I have no idea why nobody informed me that this cd existed, but I discovered it tonight and I broke down. My mom is the reason I love music, she's the reason I want to learn to play guitar. I miss her incredibly.

Tamara Lorraine Brooks passed away August 22nd, 2000 from breast cancer.

When I was little, the only person I feared was my mom, she could kick ass and take names. She was also incredibly loving. I took after my mom both in how I look and in my personality. Luckily I got some of my dad's laid-back-ness, but my passion for life all came from my mom. She could also sing better than anyone I know, and inspired more people than I can possible count. The very reason I love music the way I do today is because of her. If I could have only an ounce of her musical talent I would be lucky.

I love you Mom and I miss you incredibly.
