I haven't used Tinder myself, but my understanding is it's more of a hookup app than an actual dating/app site....Maybe that varies by region though? I'd say unfortunately with this girl moving on was the right thing, though it sucks that she wasn't honest with you about why she wasn't making an effort to get together again. I liked match.com, I think because it's a paid site there aren't as many crazies/most people are serious about trying to find a partner (vs just hookups), but everyone's experience is different of course. At the very least, you sound like you're got your priorities in order and it's great that you have a lot of love for your family :) I hope you find someone special soon! (also, never apologize for being cheesy!)

Don't know how actively you are still seeking advice from this ancient blog post, but I usually try to have a solid structure to follow (depending what the medium is that structure might be a plot formula or a preliminary sketch or something) and work from there. One thing that's often overlooked is that creativity alone is not necessarily good. It often needs a structure. Think of all the famous film directors they are who start out with good films then degrade as they get too famous and powerful -- higher-ups stop questioning their work and demanding changes, which is probably happier for the director but worse for the audience.
