Looks like that notebook computer couldn't have come at a better time. I bought a new sound card for my desktop because my sound portion on my motherboard was going on the fritz. And now after installing it my computer hates me and won't load windows then shuts off entirely. Fun! I've tried all that I can think of including uninstalling the card but it still does the same thing. I'm debating on just getting a new motherboard and seeing if it helps. Computers: FTL!

By the way, has anyone checked out Slacker Radio? I've been listening to it for a couple of weeks now and it rocks. Great sound mixed with customizable stations plus free equals awesome!
