So today was supposed to be my big day in court...traffic violation, before you assume worse...my cars registration expired, I was pulled over a day after I could've gotten to drive home, so instead I got a big ticket, had my car impounded, and had to go re-register my car and all that fun.
Anyway, today I had to go to court to fight the nearly $300 ticket. Needless to say, I expected the worst going in there. In my head, I had visions of sitting in a court-room for hours, waiting to be told I had to pay the full amount.
Instead, pleasant surprise, I was in and out of the courthouse in under 20 minutes, paying only $35.
Sometimes things end up in my favor...but it still shocks me.
