So, the girl I've been dating asked me to meet her mom lately. Not much of a big deal really except she wanted me to wear long sleeves. Can you guess why? Yeah, to hide my tattoos. At first I kind of thought I could go along with the idea, but after some time of thinking about it I really started to feel sick about it. I didn't get my tattoos to hide them, and anyone that doesn't approve of me because of them can promptly fuck off.
Kind of sucks though, we've started to drift a bit. I don't know if it is directly related to me not wanting to cover my tattoos, or its the various other things she has going on right now (of which she has many), but I've been fighting the urge to cut and run on her.
I really want to stick it out and try for a more serious relationship, but shouldn't a relationship mean that the people involved are happy with one another?

that is quite a situation. i personally never hide my tattoos unless in dress uniform and or extremely formal occasions. i dont see why anybody would have a problem with your tattoos. however i do not understand the world as it is today. kinda wish i was born in a different time.
